Create Free Mobile Surveys For Your Class
This site lets you create mobile surveys for cell phones. Students use thier cell phones to take teh survey. Students can use computers to take the survey as well. You can send out a poll to student phones for homework. Use the cell phone in the classroom and harness the technology instead of fighting it as an enemy. Your students will be engaged learners. -

Zamzar - Free online file conversion
This site will allow students to convert an enhanced powerpoint they create in class into a file that will open with a cell phone. To create an enhanced powerpoint, students go to insert sound or movie, but instead of doing that, they should select record. They will narrate the powerpoint. Next, they can go to file and click "make movie". The powerpoint is saved in quicktime format. Using Zamzar, the movie they created from the powerpoint can be converted into 3G format so that it can be opened from a cell phone. They can share the podcast with everyone in the class and send it to the teacher. They can also use the created file to study for the exam. -
